Overplay Privacy Policy

Overplay is made by Bitblix Pty Ltd ("we"). This policy explains what Overplay does with your information.

Your videos stay on your Mac

Overplay opens only the videos you choose or drag onto it, and reads them locally to play them, show thumbnails, count frames and isolate subjects. Your videos, their file names and their contents are never uploaded or shared.

Anonymous usage statistics

To learn which features are useful, Overplay sends anonymous usage events to Aptabase, a privacy-focused analytics service:

• that the app was started;
• when a video is opened: its resolution, frame rate, codec and whether it was opened with the Open panel or by dragging;
• the first time in each session a feature is used (for example markers, guides or subject isolation).

Aptabase also receives the app version, macOS version and language. These events contain no personal information, no file names or paths, and no device or advertising identifiers. They can't be used to identify you, aren't linked to you, and aren't used for advertising or tracking.

You can turn this off at any time in Overplay › Settings › Privacy ("Share anonymous usage data"). Once it's off, Overplay sends nothing.

No accounts, ads or tracking

Overplay has no accounts, contains no advertising, and doesn't track you across apps or websites.

Children

Overplay doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at https://www.bitblix.com.au/apps/overplay/privacy.html with a new date.
